Having had difficulty conceiving for five years, I was diagnosed as having PCOS at the age of 33.  Determined to have a child naturally, I turned to the help of Jinglan where I underwent three months of Acupuncture in combination with a chinese herbal tea concoction taken twice daily.  At the same time I put on some weight to establish a healthy BMI for my body type.  After about twelve weeks my body reacted very positively allowing me to ovulate and become pregnant.  November 27, 2006 our miracle boy Nathan was born weighing in at a healthy 7lbs 15oz.  My husband Brent and I couldn't be happier and are so grateful we opted for Acupuncture in lieu of IVF.  Skeptical of Acupuncture at first, I am now a believer of the treatment and recommend it to anyone having problems conceiving.

My husband and I had been trying to conceive for almost 5 years when a brochure for Positive Chinese Medicine appeared in our mailbox. I promptly called and spoke to Dr.Li to set up a consultation. After meeting Dr.Li I knew that I needed to try her protocol of herbs and acupuncture for our infertility issues.

Dr. Li was so thorough in collecting my history and coming up with a plan to address my individual needs.  I always looked forward to my weekly visits with Dr.Li even though there were needles involved!  I could tell things were changing for the better within a few months and found out that I was pregnant about a year after meeting Dr.Li. 

We are now the proud parents of a son and thank Dr.Li for her expertise and caring nature. I highly recommend Dr.Li if you are experiencing any infertility issues.

At the age of 43, I desperately wanted a second child, but was beginning to
lose hope. Our fertility specialist told my husband and I that, even with
IVF, my chances of conceiving were less than 5%. Like some others, we were
unfamiliar with acupuncture and somewhat skeptical but were willing to try
anything that might increase our odds.

Dr. Li started me on a regimen of herbs and acupuncture treatments, and
treated my husband as well. It did not interfere in any way with the drug
protocols of my fertility clinic. I couldn't believe it when I became
pregnant on only my second medicated cycle - my first IVF! I'm convinced
that taking the time to 'prepare the soil' with acupuncture made the
difference. Now, we are blessed with a healthy, beautiful little boy.

Dr. Li is not only very professional and knowledgeable, she is very gentle
and caring. Even though I don't like needles, Dr. Li always made me feel
relaxed and comfortable. She also adjusted her busy schedule to accommodate
treatments just before and after my embryo transfer.

Coming to Positive Chinese Medicine has been a positive experience in every
way, my only regret is that I didn't start sooner. We are so thrilled to be
parents again and would highly recommend Dr. Li to anyone going through the
IVF process.

After several years of infertility my husband and I decided to turn to acupuncture in conjunction with IVF since our previous efforts were unsuccessful. I began treatment with Dr. Jinglan Li but I have to admit that I was a true skeptic but willing to try anything for our last go at IVF.

I will never forget my first ultrasound when the technician told me that I had several eggs. Our previous attempts had only yielded 8 to 10 eggs total but this time I already had 25 eggs. Of those eggs 14 were removed and 11 fertilized. I was in awe. We ended up with 6 blastocysts and none with the previous attempts. On the day of my transfer I decided to get acupuncture only before the transfer. I did get pregnant but lost the pregnancy around 7 weeks. In retrospect, I believe that if we did the acupuncture before and after the transfer I may have gone to full term with this pregnancy, however, I was always instructed to go straight home and rest. I know that I only became pregnant with the help of acupuncture.

A few months later we went back for a frozen embryo transfer but this time I began treatment approximately eight weeks before the procedure and I went to Dr. Li before and after the transfer. I was her first patient to try this. We were overjoyed when I became pregnant again. I remember the clinic calling and saying that my beta count was extremely high and they were not sure if I had one or two. I believe that I had a very early implantation because of the acupuncture. I delivered a beautiful, healthy baby girl.

Dr. Li is a thorough, thoughtful and wonderful person. She is amazing at what she does and I know that without Dr. Li our dream of having a child would never have materialized. We are beginning to plan for our next child and I will be seeing Dr. Li to prepare and to assist with implantation by seeing her before and after the transfer.

I do have only one regret and that is that I did not try acupuncture earlier. I recommend that anyone who has lost hope or even just beginning to investigate fertility programs to see Dr. Li…she was able to change the mind of this skeptic for good.

After years of trying unsuccessfully to conceive naturally, my wife and I turned to IVF for help. Our first cycle of IVF was unsuccessful-neither of our embryos took. This is when we turned to Dr. Li. She prescribed both herbs and weekly acupuncture treatments for the 3 months prior to our second cycle. To be honest, I was rather skeptical that the treatments would help. Nevertheless, we faithfully took the herbs and saw Dr. Li weekly.

In addition to our regular weekly acupuncture sessions, Dr. Li performed acupuncture on my wife just prior to egg retrieval, and immediately before embryo transfer. This clearly helped immensely, because both embryos implanted successfully and we were overjoyed when my wife became pregnant with twins!

Our beautiful children-both a boy and a girl-- are now happy, healthy 9 month- olds, and growing every day. We truly believe that Dr. Li made all the difference! Our only regret is that we didn’t see her earlier. Thank you, Dr. Li, for everything. You helped make our precious children possible!

I started visiting Dr. Li in mid September 2006. I read about her treatment and that she specializes in fertility from a health magazine and at that time my husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for a year or so. I was about 30 years old at that time and did not want to wait any longer. I visited Dr. Li on a Saturday morning and she explained how acupuncture will help me to conceive. She advised me that at the same time I have to take Chinese herbs day and night. I started the acupuncture treatments on the following Wednesday, I was skeptical at first, I was scared of the pain and not sure if the procedure would work. The first session wasn’t that bad, Dr. Li made the environment comfortable and the needles didn’t hurt as much as I thought. She treated me on the back of my neck (cause I usually get severe migraine during my ovulation). She treated me with 6 to 8 needles on my lower abdomen (I think it is for warming my uterus and improves the blood flow to help conception). She also treated me with needles on the lower part of my ankles (not sure what that was for). At the same time, I took Chinese herbs twice a day. The herbs were not pleasant in taste *ugh* and I gulped it down each time. At the same time I signed up with fertilityfriend.com, a website that record my daily temperature and it pint pointed my ovulation day. My chart showed a dip in temperature on day 19 (Oct 14 2006) and I ovulated on day 20 (which was really good cause I have PCOS and I usually ovulated on day 34). I continued my visit to Dr. Li and on 6th day after my ovulation, I mentioned to Dr. Li that I have pain on my lower right side, she said to me “I think you are pregnant”. I didn’t believe it and said “No Way”. On the 15th day (Oct 28 2006) after my ovulation, I didn’t get my period, the temperature stayed high at 36.9 to 37. I bought a pregnancy test and tested on Oct 28th 2006 and 2 double lines appeared on the test stick. I couldn’t believe my eyes and was so overjoyed. The next day, I met with Dr. Li, I showed her the pregnancy test and she was so happy for me.  The acupuncture worked for me and I believe the treatment will work for others who are trying to conceive. I will definitely recommend Dr. Li to my friends and relatives.

When I first came to see Dr.Li, I was 35 year old, and my husband was 58. We have been trying to get pregnant for 5 years already. My husband had very low sperm count, and motility was bad as well. After 2 failed IVF cycles, we decided to get help from TCM.

My husband and I both started acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I started to notice that I am not feel tired easily, and I have more energies. My period had no cramps and no clots. Dr. Li told us that the skin problem that my husband had for 1 year, is caused by damp heat inside his body. This heat can kill the sperm, and affect the motility. Dr. Li prescribed herbs for my husband to help his eczema as well. His skin become less itch, and kept in good condition. At same time acupuncture helped him to reduce stress and make him more relaxed.

After 7 month treatment, we tried the 3rd IVF, and I got pregnant without any problem. My beautiful daughter was born in March 2006.We couldn’t be happier.

I am 31 year old, having try to get pregnant many years but no luck. I have been diagnosed with endometriosis for 3 month. My period become irregular and is very heavy and painful for last 2 years. I found Dr. Li from ivf.ca forum, someone got pregnant with her help. When I came to see Dr. Li , I was on day 48, 20 days delayed. I am overweight, and have weak digestive system.  Dr. Li checked my pulse and tounge and said I have blood stagnation, phlem , and kidney deficiency. She gave me 1 week supply of herbs, and did acupuncture treatment. I got my period right after I took herbs, and surprisingly got  pregnant that month.
